Wednesday night sees the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League final, with Toronto needing to turn around the tie, having lost at home last week.
Guadalajara (2) v (1) Toronto
The first leg saw the Mexican side score inside the opening two minutes, before Jonathan Osorio scored his fourth of the competition, leading the way in 2018. However, Alan Pulido’s second half free-kick gave Guadalajara a 2-1 victory, and maybe more importantly, two away goals in the bag,
The second leg will take place at Estadio Akron, with the hosts knowing that a draw, or even a 1-0 loss will be enough for them to win the title for the first time. Toronto know they will probably have to win by two goals if they want to become the first MLS, and first Canadian side to win the tournament in its history.
Jonathan Osorio leads the way with four goals in the tournament this campaign, while Sebastian Giovinco is the only active player left who has three. No Guadalajara man has more than two goals in the tournament in 2018, with Oswaldo Alanis, Jose Macias and Alan Pulido all having bagged twice in the tournament.
The game kicks off at 8:30pm on Wednesday evening in Guadalajara; with a 2:30am start time for British fans, on Thursday morning.
