English Championship side Queens Park Rangers have announced the loan signing of former Houston Dynamo defender, Geoff Cameron.
The 33-year-old USA international has arrived in West London on loan from Stoke City and will add some valuable experience to Steve McClaren’s side who haven’t had a great start to the season.
“I remember my first experience at QPR playing against them in the Premier League, knowing their fans and stadium was pretty special because they’re so close to you, they feel like they’re right on top of you. I’m really excited.” – Geoff Cameron
QPR have conceded ten goals in their last three Championship games, so the addition of Cameron will help improve things at the back. The defender offers plenty of experience and versatility as he can play in a number of different positions.
Cameron is well-known in England having originally moved here in 2012 when he signed for Stoke City. He has made well over 150 appearances for the Potters, and many of those came in the Premier League.
QPR will take on Birmingham City tomorrow afternoon (3pm UK time) and Cameron should be available for selection.
