English Premier League side Newcastle United are understood to be interested in making a January move for Miguel Almiron, according to the Chronicle Live.
The Atlanta United forward has caught the eye of many after impressing during his time in the States and Newcastle are one of many European clubs said to be interested.
Almiron’s agent was spotted during Newcastle’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth at St James’ Park and it is suggested that he is working with two or three clubs on a potential move in January. The agent, Daniel Campos, has already confirmed that the Paraguayan will play in England.
Newcastle are said to be desperate to add a winger to their ranks in January and Almiron could provide the answer. Those who watch MLS and Atlanta United regularly know that he can produce the goods from out wide or in a more central number 10 role.
Almiron has contributed 13 goals and 14 assists in his quest to help Atlanta United win the 2018 MLS Cup and leave in style before his inevitable exit in the winter.
